American Eagle offers price adjustments within 14 days of purchase on full-price items from American Eagle, Aerie, and Offline stores. If the price drops at AE within that window, you can request the difference back with your original receipt — no competitor price matching.

What is a price adjustment?

A price adjustment means that if an item you already bought drops in price at the same retailer within a set window, the store refunds you the difference. American Eagle's policy covers their own price drops on full-price merchandise bought at AE, Aerie, or Offline — you do not need to find a cheaper price somewhere else.

American Eagle does not match competitors' prices, but it does honor its own markdowns. If an item you bought at full price goes on sale at AE within 14 days, you can get the difference back in-store or by contacting customer service online. This applies equally to American Eagle and its sub-brand Aerie, which shares the same 14-day policy.
