What is the NBA Top Shot Settlement about?
A proposed $7,050,000 settlement resolves claims that NBA Properties, Inc. and Dapper Labs, Inc. disclosed NBA Top Shot account holders’ personally identifiable information to Meta via the Meta Pixel on nbatopshot.com without proper consent, allegedly violating the Video Privacy Protection Act and California law. U.S. users with both an active Facebook account and an NBA Top Shot account during the class period can submit a claim for a pro-rata payment, currently estimated at about $36–$122. Eligibility, claim review, payment timing, and any payment amount are determined by the settlement administrator, court-approved terms, or applicable refund program. Payout does not administer the settlement, determine eligibility, or guarantee payment.

You may qualify for the NBA Top Shot Settlement if you meet the eligibility requirements below. Eligibility is finally determined by the settlement administrator, not by Payout.
- Had an active Facebook account and an NBA Top Shot account between 2020-06-15 and 2025-01-30
- Person in the United States
- Submit claim by 2025-12-16 (one claim per person)
- Provide Facebook profile URL or screenshot as proof of Facebook account
