What is the FitOn privacy settlement about?

The FitOn VPPA class action settlement (Hoffman v. FitOn Inc.) resolves claims that FitOn disclosed subscribers' personally identifiable information — including their video-viewing histories — to third-party platforms such as Meta, without obtaining the consent required by the Video Privacy Protection Act. FitOn denied any wrongdoing but agreed to a $2.5 million fund to resolve the claims.
