What is the Dr Squatch Class Action Settlement about?

Dr. Squatch agreed to a $9 million settlement in Guzman v. Dr. Squatch, LLC (Los Angeles County Superior Court, Case No. 25STCV03523), resolving claims that it labeled certain products "natural" even though they contained ingredients the plaintiffs allege are synthetic. Dr. Squatch denies wrongdoing and maintains the products were properly labeled. Anyone in the U.S. who bought a Dr. Squatch product labeled "natural" between November 1, 2018 and August 29, 2026 can file a claim. The stated base payment is $0.50 per eligible product: up to 5 products without proof of purchase and up to 20 with proof, one claim per household. Final payments are adjusted pro rata based on valid claims, fees and costs, and are paid after final court approval. File online by November 27, 2026. Eligibility, claim review, payment timing, and any payment amount are determined by the settlement administrator and court-approved terms. Payout does not administer the settlement, determine eligibility, or guarantee payment.
