A class action (Biddle v. The Walt Disney Company) alleged that Disney's carriage practices inflated the price of live-streaming TV subscriptions. Disney agreed to a $50 million settlement. People who subscribed to YouTube TV, DirecTV Stream, DirecTV Now, or AT&T TV Now between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2026 can claim a pro-rata cash payment based on how long they subscribed.

Who qualifies for the Disney Streaming Settlement?

You may qualify for the Disney Streaming Settlement if you meet the eligibility requirements below. Eligibility is finally determined by the settlement administrator, not by Payout.

  • Eligible: you purchased a live-streaming TV subscription to YouTube TV, DirecTV Stream, DirecTV Now, or AT&T TV Now between 2019-04-01 and 2026-03-31.
  • Submit your claim by 2026-09-08 (also the opt-out/exclusion deadline).
  • Payment: a pro-rata cash payment based on how long you subscribed — no fixed amount.
  • No receipts or subscription records required — you certify your subscription start/end dates under penalty of perjury.
  • Final approval hearing: 2027-01-14; payments issue after approval.
