What is the Daily Wire Settlement about?

The Daily Wire has agreed to a $2 million settlement to resolve allegations that it violated the federal Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) by sharing users' video-viewing data with Facebook. Logged-in Daily Wire account holders or digital newsletter subscribers who accessed a video on any Daily Wire website between March 11 2022 and Nov. 7 2023 can claim up to $15 in cash, with payments distributed pro rata depending on the number of valid claims submitted. No proof is required to file. Eligibility, claim review, payment timing, and any payment amount are determined by the settlement administrator, court-approved terms, or applicable refund program. Payout does not administer the settlement, determine eligibility, or guarantee payment.

Who qualifies for the Daily Wire Settlement?

You may qualify for the Daily Wire Settlement if you meet the eligibility requirements below. Eligibility is finally determined by the settlement administrator, not by Payout.

  • Accessed a video on a Daily Wire website while the Meta/Facebook pixel was active between 2022-03-11 and 2023-11-07
