T-Mobile Settlement 2026: Payment Status and Amounts
The T-Mobile data breach settlement is still paying in 2026, but new claims are closed. The first distribution has ended, and the official settlement administrator says a residual distribution is expected later this year. It has not announced the next payment date or amount.
What settlements can you actually claim?
The T-Mobile claim period is over. These active settlements are accepting claims now through their official administrators. Read each class definition and deadline before filing.

What is the T-Mobile settlement status in 2026?
All court proceedings are complete, the initial payment distribution has concluded, and Kroll expects a residual distribution later in 2026. The official status page also says the deadline to request a reissue from the initial distribution has passed.

A residual distribution uses money left after the administrator completes the first round. Uncashed checks, failed digital payments, and other remaining funds may return to eligible claimants under the court-approved plan. The administrator must finish its accounting before it can confirm the amount per person.
How much did T-Mobile claimants receive?
Claimants received different amounts based on their approved benefit category. Public reports show $56.54 as a common payment, while some California claimants reported roughly $226 to $240. Documented-loss claims followed separate limits and required supporting records.
One claimant wrote in a r/ClassActionSettlement thread, “I can’t even remember joining the class action, but I just received a check” for $56.54. A separate r/tmobile post told people to check their mail after the author received a check for almost $240.
Those posts confirm what real payments looked like for two claimants. They do not set the amount for anyone else. The settlement fund also paid notice costs, administration, court-approved fees, service awards, identity-defense benefits, and approved documented losses. The final valid-claim count affected the cash left for each payment category.
Who qualifies for the residual T-Mobile payment?
The expected residual round applies to eligible claimants from the original settlement process. The official site has not opened a second claim form. People who missed the January 23, 2023 deadline cannot file a new claim for this case.
You filed during the original claim period
A residual payment depends on an existing claim. A current T-Mobile account by itself is not enough.
The administrator accepted your claim
A confirmation proves submission, while the administrator's final review determines validity.
Your payment category remains eligible
The court-approved distribution plan controls which claimants share residual money.
Kroll still has usable payment details
Check the official status page and contact Kroll if your mailing address or account information changed.
Track the next claim before its deadline
The T-Mobile filing window is closed. Payout lists active settlements and their official claim deadlines so you can focus on cases that are still open.
Browse active settlementsWhy did payment amounts vary?
The $350 million figure was the total fund, not the amount divided equally among every T-Mobile customer. The plan covered alternative cash payments, higher California payments, documented out-of-pocket losses, identity-defense services, administration, and court-approved legal fees.
The official FAQ says qualifying class members could claim time spent dealing with the breach and documented losses tied to identity theft or fraud, subject to the settlement rules. A person who submitted records for approved losses was in a different category from someone who selected the basic cash option.
Claim volume mattered too. Cash amounts described before distribution were estimates or maximums. Administrators calculate the final pro rata amount only after they know how many valid claims fall into each category and what other court-approved costs the fund must pay.
How can you check your T-Mobile claim?
Use the official case website and Kroll contact details. Give the administrator your claim confirmation number, full name, and the email or mailing address used when you filed. Ask whether the claim was approved and whether it remains eligible for the residual distribution.

The site says the deadline for initial-payment reissues has passed. Ask a narrow question anyway if your payment failed: whether Kroll recorded it as paid, whether it was returned, and whether the residual round includes your valid claim. Save the response with your original confirmation.
How can you verify a T-Mobile payment message?
Match the message with the official website before clicking a link. The settlement used paper checks and digital payment options, which means a legitimate payment may arrive from a name you do not immediately recognize. It also gives scammers familiar words to copy.
- Confirm the sender, phone number, and website through T-MobileSettlement.com.
- Never pay a fee to release a settlement check or digital transfer.
- Do not share a Social Security number or bank password in response to an unexpected message.
- Call Kroll through the number on the official site if a prepaid card or transfer link fails.
- Keep the envelope, email, and transaction record until the payment clears.

What did claimants say about delays?
Claimants repeatedly asked whether other people had been paid and whether a missing transfer meant their claim had failed. One r/tmobile claimant said Kroll gave a July 7 payment date, then reported that nothing arrived. Another thread showed the exact $56.54 value on a virtual prepaid Mastercard.
That language explains why the official status page matters. A scheduled date can describe the start of a distribution batch, while each claimant receives money on a different day. Paper mail, payment-vendor processing, address errors, and rejected transfers can produce different arrival dates.
Can Payout recover a missed T-Mobile claim?
No. Payout cannot reopen the T-Mobile deadline, approve an old claim, replace a payment, or tell Kroll to include someone in the residual distribution. Those decisions belong to the administrator under the court-approved settlement.
Payout is a settlement-discovery app, not a law firm, and it does not give legal advice. Filing a settlement claim is free, whether you find it through Payout or go directly to an administrator. Eligibility, approval, timing, and payment amounts are never guaranteed. You can use the app to find open cases and avoid discovering the next deadline after it has passed.
