Am I a member of the Settlement Class?

You may qualify if you bought covered Dr. Squatch products in the United States between November 1, 2018 and August 29, 2026. The administrator identifies products labeled natural, including qualifying soaps, deodorants, shampoos and other personal-care products. Check the full product list and exclusions in the official notice.

The case concerns allegations about natural labeling and synthetic ingredients. Dr. Squatch denies wrongdoing. The parties reached a proposed $9,000,000 settlement without a finding of liability. This article covers Guzman et al. v. Dr. Squatch, LLC, case 25STCV03523 in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Purchases for resale are excluded. Company employees, officers, directors, agents, legal representatives and certain related people are also excluded. The form defines a household as everyone at the same physical address. The administrator decides whether a submitted claim is valid. What benefits will I receive as a member of the Settlement Class?

At the stated base rate, five eligible products without proof total $2.50. Twenty with proof total $10. You can combine those allowances for separate product units, giving a $12.50 base example for 25 products. The administrator limits each household to one claim and adjusts payments under the settlement agreement, sections 4.1.5 through 4.1.7.

For example, eight documented products and three additional products without receipts give a base calculation of $5.50. Count only eligible purchases you actually made. Do not count the same product unit in both groups. The agreement allows the administrator to reject duplicate claims and request more information.

For the receipt decision, each additional documented product adds $0.50 to the base calculation, up to the 20-product proof allowance. You can use that amount to judge the effort of retrieving your records. Payout has not measured how long that takes or what the final payment will be.

What proof of purchase does the claim form request?

The official claim form defines proof as a receipt from a third-party retailer, online or in-store, that reasonably establishes the product purchase and date during the covered period in the United States. Check that wording before assuming an order confirmation qualifies. Ask the administrator about records that do not clearly meet the definition.

This distinction matters for direct Dr. Squatch orders. People discussing the case in a public settlement thread describe using receipts from the brand's website. That does not establish that the administrator accepts those records as proof. The published form says third-party retail source. Contact the administrator at 1-855-706-1956 if your documentation is ambiguous.

Without receipts, eligible buyers can still use the five-product allowance. You must truthfully attest to purchases; no-receipt filing does not waive eligibility. How do I submit a Dr. Squatch settlement claim?

Start at the official settlement website and use its Submit a Claim link, or download the mail-in form. The deadline is November 27, 2026. The online portal states 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time; mailed forms must be postmarked by that date. Review the notice before choosing whether to participate.

2. Check your products against the covered-product list.
3. Gather documentation for purchases claimed with proof.
4. Complete one household form through the official online claim portal or the mail-in claim form.
5. Save a copy of your submitted claim and supporting records.

For mail filing, the form lists Dr. Squatch Settlement Administrator, P.O. Box 1389, Baton Rouge, LA 70821. If the online portal is unavailable or you cannot find your claim ID, use the administrator's contact details on the official site. We verified the published portal link and deadline; automated browser access to the portal was blocked during our check. We did not submit a claim.

Is there any money available now?

No. The administrator says money is not available while the settlement remains unapproved and not final. The court has scheduled the final approval hearing for March 2, 2027. Do not treat the November claim deadline as a payday. Check the administrator's FAQs for changes to the schedule.
