What is the Kroger prescription pricing settlement about?

The lawsuit alleges that Kroger should have considered prices offered through its Savings Club when reporting its usual and customary prescription prices. The plaintiffs say the reported prices caused some insured customers to pay more for prescriptions.

Kroger denies wrongdoing and says it correctly reported its retail prices. The court has not decided which side is right. Kroger agreed to create a $17 million settlement fund, with the remaining money distributed among people who submit valid claims after approved costs are deducted.
