What is the Corsair Lawsuit about?
Corsair Gaming agreed to pay $5.5 million to resolve claims that certain DDR4 and DDR5 desktop RAM products were falsely advertised for their speeds (based on XMP/EXPO overclocked profiles rather than default JEDEC speeds). U.S. purchasers of eligible Corsair DDR4 (rated over 2133 MHz) or DDR5 (rated over 4800 MHz) desktop memory between January 14, 2018 and July 2, 2025 can submit a claim for a pro-rata share of the fund. No proof of purchase is required for up to five products per household; claims above that may require proof. Eligibility, claim review, payment timing, and any payment amount are determined by the settlement administrator, court-approved terms, or applicable refund program. Payout does not administer the settlement, determine eligibility, or guarantee payment.
