Toyota California HVAC Settlement (Salas v. Toyota)
Potential cash payment for Toyota Camry HVAC repair claims in California.
Description
A class action settlement (Salas v. Toyota) resolves claims that 2012–2015 Toyota Camry XV50 vehicles sold in California had defective HVAC systems that allowed exhaust odors to enter the cabin. The settlement reimburses Class Members up to $100 for reasonable out-of-pocket expenses to replace or install a charcoal cabin air filter. Claims for 2012–2013 model years have closed. Claims for 2014–2015 model year vehicles for expenses incurred after May 31, 2024 must be filed by May 31, 2026. Eligibility, claim review, payment timing, and any payment amount are determined by the settlement administrator, court-approved terms, or applicable refund program. Payout does not administer the settlement, determine eligibility, or guarantee payment.
