What happened in the Xfinity data breach?
Between October 16 and 19, 2023, hackers exploited a vulnerability in Citrix software to access Xfinity’s internal systems. Comcast publicly disclosed the breach on December 18, 2023, and notified affected customers by email that same day.
Approximately 35 to 36 million Xfinity customers had their personal information exposed. The data included usernames, hashed passwords, names, contact information, dates of birth, and, for some customers, the last four digits of Social Security numbers and account security questions and answers.

Who qualifies for the Comcast settlement?
The class is defined by who received a direct breach notification from Comcast. If Xfinity sent you a notice on or around December 18, 2023, you are a settlement class member.

How much does the Comcast settlement pay?
There are three ways to get paid, and you choose one when you file. All three also come with three years of free identity protection through Experian IdentityWorks.
$50 alternative cash payment
No documentation required. You select this option on the claim form and choose a payment method. This is the fastest option for most people.
Up to $10,000 for documented losses
